Stan has 10 years’ experience in the aircraft leasing business starting his career with Standard Chartered Aviation Finance in December 2007. Standard Chartered Bank acquired Pembroke Capital Limited in 2007. In 2007 PCL had a small portfolio of 7 aircraft. Stan oversaw the growth from 7 to 113 aircraft in 2016 and grew the finance team from 3 to 11 during this period. In 2009, he was the key finance member of the team involved in the replication of PCL’s leasing platform in Hong Kong. A new transportation holding company was set up with loans refinanced in HK. In 2010, SCB established a shipping operating lease function. Stan headed up a bank wide project to integrate the Aviation and Ship leasing contracts management system and GL with the SCB GL and other downstream reporting systems, travelling throughout the banks network, liaising with key stakeholders prior to the setup of the platform. He was the key driver in the implementation of the finance function, policies and procedures and systems for the business. The Shipping portfolio grow to 59 vessels. In 2013, he was tasked with the setup of the finance function and systems for SCB’s Capital Equipment Leasing business.
Prior to SCB, Stan worked with Tyco International Finance and Covidien Ltd. Stan has previously worked for over 10 years as a Financial, Project and Regulatory accountant in Irish retail banks for both PTSB bank and First Active (Ulster Bank).
In 1999, Stan completed a BA in Business (Accounting major) where he achieved a first-class honours degree from the National University of Ireland, receiving an award for being placed first in his year in college. In 2002, he qualified as an accountant from the Certified Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). In 2016 Stan completed a diploma in Aviation Leasing and Finance from the Law Society of Ireland, achieving a first-class Honour.
