Aergo Capital has appointed Dewey Yee as Special Advisor

Leading aircraft leasing and trading company Aergo Capital has appointed Dewey Yee as Special Advisor to the Board. Based in Hong Kong, Dewey will advise Aergo’s management and Board of Directors on the Chinese and Asian aviation markets.

Commenting on today’s announcement, Fred Browne, Chief Executive Officer, Aergo, said, “I am thrilled that Dewey Yee will be lending his considerable expertise to Aergo Capital. Considered a pioneer of aviation finance in Asia, Dewey’s 30 years of aviation experience will be of invaluable benefit to our growing Asian business. Dewey began his aviation career at GPA in the mid-1980s where he was personally hired by Tony Ryan and tasked with opening the China aircraft leasing market. Over 30 years’ experience in the aviation industry in Asia, Dewey has held senior management leadership roles at a number of major aviation entities including but not limited to GATX Capital Corporation, Babcock & Brown, Tokyo-Mitsubishi International, Société Générale Asia, and China Everbright.

In 2013, Hong Kong’s Chief Executive appointed Dewey to the newly established, “Economic Development Commission”, a high-level Commission focused on strategic policy for Hong Kong’s economic growth. Re-appointed in 2015, Dewey will continue to head the ‘Aerospace Finance Task Force Focus Group’ formulating measures to develop Hong Kong into a global Aerospace Finance Centre.

Prior to this appointment, Dewey was Head of Aerospace Finance and Leasing Advisory at BaoQiao Partners Capital, Hong Kong.
